Show Me The Way (SMTW) is a not for profit supporting students experiencing disadvantage in accessing education. SMTW provides secure online mentoring, connecting students from First Nations and from a refugee background with e-mentors from corporate Australia. Show Me The Way focuses on providing opportunities for youth to continue education throughout high school and go on to tertiary studies at university and TAFE.
During SMTW programs participants engage in film workshops to produce mini documentaries that focus on role models from similar cultural backgrounds.
As part of the program, we need people from a refugee background to be interviewees for our films.
We need 2 hours of your time to speak about your personal/professional journey and your positive take on education that has lead to your success.
You need to have formal tertiary qualifications from university or TAFE and come from a refugee background.
We are looking for people who are passionate about what they do (in our Western Sydney community) who can speak to and help inspire new migrants from refugee backgrounds as they begin their new lives in our community.
