Now Sold out ! Sienna's fifth Gala Dinner is aiming to raise $70 000 for research into neuroblastoma childhood cancer. Neuroblastoma is an aggressive childhood cancer and the leading cause of death of children under 5 from cancer.
Current treatments only save half of the children diagnosed with aggressive neuroblastoma and a third that do survive have long term side effects as a result of those actual treatments. Safer, more effective treatments are urgently needed and the only way of getting these is by investing in more research.
$70 000 would cover the costs of a research scientist for one year.
The event is held in honour of Sienna Hoffmann, the inspiration behind Neuroblastoma Australia as she was the daughter of one of the founders who very sadly lost her battle to neuroblastoma when she was just two and a half years old.
The Gala Dinner consists of a live and silent auction as well as a raffle. There will be a website showing these items from 9th February - please visit www.neuroblastoma.org.au if you do not receive the link.
