Mums4Refugees NSW wants to express our deepest gratitude to all who have donated to our campaign honouring the life of Sebastian Moroney. To little Sebby’s family; Jordana, Erin and baby Liora who have led with love in their grief, our condolences and thoughts. Their love for Sebby has inspired so many of us, and has brought hope to many. As we begin to catch our breath and comprehend the impact of the COVID pandemic in our communities, Mums4Rfeugees prepares to respond to this crisis in the refugee community. Despite these dark days, we always find cause for hope; we are lucky to have a committed and caring network of members like Sebby’s mum who are determined to provide support and justice for refugees and people seeking asylum. We also want to express our admiration and gratitude to doctors, nurses, carers, porters, cleaners and everyone currently working in hospitals. We know the different impact of COVID-19 on persons with disabilities and other comorbidity factors highlights systemic failures and ableist approach. Our final message is to all who live with disabilities, chronic illness and other comorbidity factors; you deserve better. The COVID-19 experience should inspire us to foster greater social responsibility and encourages us to create opportunities for change and a more inclusive society. In Solidarity and Friendship M4R
