Charter Hall Community Development Funds are community partnerships established with Charter Hall developments to address a community issue in the area of the development.
Wanneroo Central - a Charter Hall shopping mall - support Youth Futures WA, a registered DGR charity providing young people with professional services that increase community participation and enhance wellbeing.
Youth Futures WA was established as a youth crisis accommodation service in Perth. Over recent years the organisation has evolved to not only offer the homeless youth of WA support and accommodation, they have adopted a holistic approach that offers young people the opportunity to participate in education and support programs, to empower individuals and assist in breaking the cycle of poverty and disadvantage.
Our passionate team of qualified staff provides young people with a relaxed and non-judgemental environment where they can address their current needs and create a plan for a brighter future. We work from an empowerment model and adopt a strengths-based approach, always acknowledging that each young person we help is an individual with their own story and needs.
Wanneroo Central is a sub-regional shopping centre located north of Perth and conveniently positioned within the Wanneroo Town Centre. Dedicated to delivering easy, enjoyable experiences every day for the Wanneroo community, the $20 million expansion was completed in August 2018, seeing the opening of a new ALDI supermarket alongside Coles, Kmart and Best & Less variety stores, plus 40 specialty retailers providing shoppers with a new range of products and services. The development also provided a new casual dining and town square precinct at the front of the centre. Anchored by Hogs Breath Cafe and Funky Mexican Cantina, the space allows the community to come together, dine and connect.
This single level, fully air-conditioned complex is split across two buildings: The main centre, and a freestanding building which houses thriving tenants including branches of the CBA, MLA and NAB, and a Liquorland outlet.
