Disturbingly, one in four young people today have a mental health diagnosis. And many of those with significant mental health issues often end up in a revolving door of hospital admission to home, with an inability to either earn or learn as they struggle to adapt to living with their diagnosed condition and the often-debilitating medications. It can be an extremely challenging time for both the young person and their carers. And it places a significant burden on our health system and government funding.
MindFx aims to be the leader in providing holistic solutions, supporting young adults (and their carers) to learn how to best manage their diagnosis, taking a holistic and strengths-based approach to developing individualised recovery programs, whilst also providing the young adult with opportunities to earn through working part-time in the on-site social enterprises.
Your contribution will help us operationalise the very first MindFx centre, helping vulnerable young adults to access Better Recovery Pathways. You may even want to raise funds for MindFx in your workplace or community. It’s easy - host a morning tea, organise a sporting event, quiz night, a silent auction, or raffle, sell unwanted items on Gumtree – there are many ways for you to help us reach our goal. Click here to set up your own group. And please share this link with your networks! Every contribution counts, so please – dig deep and give what you can, so that vulnerable young adults in your community can access Better Recovery Pathways at the first MindFx Centre.
Be a part of a NEW ERA in creating BETTER RECOVERY PATHWAYS for our Young Adults.
