Please give a gift this Christmas that can change a life for a little girl like Ava. This bright eyed 8 year old was born with spina bifida - a condition where the spinal cord fails to develop properly. This Christmas, she is excited to attend her 4th Junior Wheelies Christmas Camp to see friends - just like her, that she only sees once a year. "Having other kids around her that are in similar situations helps her build her independence and realise that she can do things for herself", says mum Kristy. Kids with disabilities from across NSW come together for a weekend of fun and recreation. They get to try new sports and activities with other kids just like them, with Paralympians and senior members on hand to help out and mentor them. It provides valuable respite for families while the kids enjoy the time to just be kids. The highlight of the weekend is of course a visit from Santa with a sack full of presents. Please make your generous donation to help ensure these kids get the same opportunities to enjoy their childhood and grow into healthy, independent adults.
