CFT has a massive challenge to continue vital services to the CF community across Tasmania whilst physical distancing measures are in place. All planned events such as the Gala Ball and Ladies Lunch have been cancelled.
CFT receives no Government funding and is predicting an 85% drop in income over the next six months or more. Yet the demand for services has been increasing, especially as people with underlying health conditions such as CF are amongst the most vulnerable during this pandemic.
HFT's 6 in 6 Challenge was embraced by many and this wonderful personal training business have now partnered with Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania to bring you the 65 Roses Fitness and Wellbeing Challenge.
For 5 weeks starting from May 25th you will be given some simple but fun movement and health tasks to complete that you can integrate easily into your day. It's going to be achievable if you're working from home, or the office. Challenges will include exercises, restorative movements, hydration, nutrition, energy levels and connection with others. We want to help you to challenge yourself on all levels.
To be involved you can either make a one off donation of $30 (all of which goes to Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania) or you can set up a peer to peer fundraising page of your own and encourage others to sponsor your challenges. Using social media this can be a simple way to get donations and you'll be surprised how much your friends want to encourage you.
All donations are tax deductible and your supporters will automatically receive a receipt when they donate. All that's left to do is for you to thank them!
Thank you so much to everyone who took part in this challenge or made a donation. A special thank you to Hobart Fitness Training and their fabulous team for getting behind this. We raised over $2,000 which was well beyond what we anticipated. Warm regards, Paula, CFT.
