In July I’m going to do something hard, hiking the Kokoda track, although that’s not half as tough as the challenge that many young people face on a daily basis. In Australia, suicide is the highest reason for death of young people (aged 12-24), 1 in 4 have a mental health condition, and only 36% of young people will seek professional help.
As part of taking on the challenge of Kokoda I’d also like to support the efforts of the Raise Foundation - an organisation dedicated to making a meaningful impact on youth wellbeing and engagement through early intervention mentoring programs in schools and communities. You can find more details about the great work Raise is doing at https://raise.org.au/.
All money donated via this page will go directly towards Raise. For each $2,000 raised, they will be able to provide a mentoring match for a whole year in a Raise program
