There is something really exciting I would like to share with you all...In November I will be embarking on an amazing journey for a cause very close to my heart.
It is hard to believe in this day and age that discrimination around education still exists but sadly, it does. Statistics show that there are currently 31 million girls of primary school age that are not in school. A girl in Sierra Leone is more likely to be sexually abused than to attend high school and 1 in 9 girls in the developing world are married before the age of 15.
In 8 weeks time I will be travelling to India with Human Kind Project and Barefoot College to help enable girls in rural villages between the ages of 6 and 14 gain access to education, gathering at night to learn by the light of solar lanterns.
This amazing college has been making a real difference to people’s lives for 40 years now and I am so fortunate to be able to make my contribution.
